The duration of most of my videos are
in excess of 15 minutes long. Most are very large files of over 25mb in
size and therefore are more suited to people with a 'broadband'
connection. Anyone using a 'dial up' connection can download these videos,
but should be aware that it could take well over an hour to download the
larger videos, depending on the connection speed of their Internet Service
Provider.
My videos are
best viewed using a Win Media Player because all of my videos are Win
Media Video (.wmv) files. My files will play on many players but some of
them won't offer you the option to view the videos on 'full screen' if you
wish to do so, Win Media Player does allow this. You should make Win Media
Player the default player for .wmv files by opening the player and
clicking on Tools/Options then clicking the 'File Types' tab, &
ticking the relevant wmv files box.
Clicking on 'Download Movie' after you choose which
video you want to view should open your Win Media Player automatically.
Some browsers including Internet Explorer may offer you the option to view
the video you have chosen to download using your browser. You should say
no to this option, & then after you have done so your Win Media Player
will open automatically & start to download your chosen video. You can
tell that your chosen video is downloading because the player will tell
you that it is 'buffering' & then display the speed & how much of
the video has currently downloaded, eg: 15%
downloaded.
If you wish
to 'save' the video you have just downloaded and watched to avoid
downloading it again to view it just click on 'File/Save as' in your WM
Player, and then save the video to a folder of your choice. It's as easy
as that!! All content in my members area can be viewed, downloaded, &
saved to your PC. There is no 'Save Protected' material at
all.
Apple Macintosh
users will find that most versions of 'Quicktime Player' will not play
.wmv files. I would advise them to go to the Microsoft website (which you
probably view as consorting with the enemy) & download the latest
version of Win Media Player for Macs. I have been reliably informed that
my videos work extremely well using this method of viewing, &
especially well on the new 'Intel' range of Macs.
